The universities have agreed in principle to a five‑year continuation of the storied Apple Cup football series through at least 2028.

Both universities remain united in their commitment to finding the best solution going forward given the looming departures of 10 of the 12 conference partners.

The temporary restraining order was sought by WSU and Oregon State University as part of a broader legal filing intended to clarify that they are the only voting members of the Pac‑12 Board of Directors.

Oregon State University and Washington State University initiated legal action to confirm the governance structure of the conference, gain access to business information, and protect the conference’s assets.
