2025–2026 Impact in Action Report

Dear Colleagues,

Every day, across Washington and around the world, Cougs demonstrate what it means to be a 21st‑century land‑grant university. Through education, discovery, innovation, and service, we create opportunity, strengthen communities, grow Washington’s economy, and help solve the challenges that matter most.

I am pleased to share Washington State University’s 2025–2026 Impact in Action report, a new system‑wide resource that captures not only what we accomplished this year, but how WSU is building the future. It tells the story of an institution that is modernizing, expanding access, advancing world‑class research, and deepening its impact in every corner of our state.

This past year marked the beginning of an important new chapter. Across our campuses, Global Campus, Extension network, research centers, and communities, we are working together as one university — making thoughtful decisions, embracing innovation, and ensuring that Washington State University continues to earn the trust placed in us by the people of Washington.

As we look ahead to the coming academic year, I hope this report reminds you that every role at WSU contributes to something larger. Together, we are building a university that is more connected, more adaptable, and more impactful than ever before.
