My Thanks and Appreciation

Dear Colleagues,

As we move forward together into this next chapter for Washington State University, I want to pause and express my deep appreciation for what you are doing every day. Across our campuses and communities, I see people who care deeply about students, who bring integrity to their work, and who never lose sight of why this university matters.

Change is never simple, but it can be deeply constructive. I see that spirit at WSU, the willingness to face challenges directly, to keep moving with purpose, and to hold fast to our values while we build what comes next. That is what gives me confidence in our future.

We are not standing still. We are becoming the university the next generation needs, one that leads with both strength and compassion. That work takes resilience, and it takes all of us.
