The pre-Thanksgiving quiet is beginning to settle over campus as faculty and students wrap up projects and papers and prepare for a much-needed break. The weather has finally turned here on the Palouse; the bite in the air is a vivid reminder that winter will soon be upon us.
As families and friends gather this next week to give thanks, it is important that we at Washington State University also pause to reflect. We have much for which to be thankful, especially the transformational role that the education we provide plays in the lives of our students. I deeply appreciate the support we receive from alumni, donors, stakeholders, faculty, and staff for that critical purpose. And, I know the students who benefit from that support are thankful as well. Please take a moment to view the video below. It is a beautiful expression of the power of giving and gratitude.
Here is wishing you and yours a holiday break filled with good food, fun, and relaxation.
